Cookie Policy

How Industrial Connected uses cookies

Short version: we only use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the site or that remember a small preference. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag or any other third-party marketing or tracking technology. Because of that, we do not need to show you a cookie consent banner.

Version 1.0. Last updated 20 June 2026.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. We also use similar local storage technologies provided by your browser. Under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), cookies that are not strictly necessary to deliver a service you have asked for require your prior consent.

What we set

Every cookie or local storage entry we use falls into one of two categories below. Both are first-party (set by Industrial Connected, not a third party) and contain no advertising or cross-site tracking data.

NamePurposeTypeDurationCategory
sb-* (Supabase auth)Keeps you signed in across pages and tabs.Local storageUntil sign outStrictly necessary
sidebar:stateRemembers whether you collapsed the navigation sidebar.Cookie7 daysFunctional
ic_refStores a referral code from a `?ref=` link so we can credit the referrer when you sign up.Cookie + local storageUntil sign up or 30 daysFunctional
Stripe (checkout only)Set by Stripe during payment for fraud prevention. Only loaded if you start a checkout.CookieSession / up to 1 yearStrictly necessary

We do not set Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, TikTok Pixel, Hotjar, Mixpanel, PostHog, session replay, A/B testing or any other third-party analytics or marketing technology.

Embedded content (YouTube, Vimeo)

Some supplier profiles include a facility walkthrough video. To protect your privacy, we do not load the video player automatically. You see a static placeholder. Only when you click Play do we load the embed from YouTube (using their cookie-freeyoutube-nocookie.comdomain) or from Vimeo (with their Do Not Track flag enabled). At that point the relevant platform may set cookies on your device under its own policy:

How to control cookies

Because we only set strictly necessary and functional cookies, there is no on-site opt-out. You can:

  • • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings (this may sign you out and reset preferences).
  • • Use private/incognito browsing.
  • • Use a tracker-blocking extension.
  • • Avoid clicking Play on embedded videos if you do not want YouTube or Vimeo to set their cookies.

If we ever add analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies, we will update this page and ask for your consent through a banner before any such cookie is set.

Changes and contact

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the site or in law. The Last updated date at the top of this page will change when we do.
