1. Who we are

Industrial Connected ("we", "us") is operated by Talent & Career Solutions Consulting Limited (Company No. 16307816) and is the data controller for personal data processed through the platform. You can contact us at info@industrialconnected.com for general enquiries or support@industrialconnected.com for privacy, data protection and account requests. You can also use the Chat with us button at the bottom right of any page.

2. Scope

This policy covers all parts of the Service, including the Supplier Marketplace, Project Marketplace, Equipment Marketplace (For Sale and Wanted listings), Industry Support directory, verification process, reviews and lead feedback, sponsorships and paid placements, and our website, emails and in-app communications.

3. Data we collect

Account data: name, email, phone, company, role, password (hashed), account type (buyer / supplier / equipment seller / industry support provider).
Profile data: supplier capabilities, certifications, categories, locations, service areas, company description, logo and imagery.
Project data: project details, attachments, drawings, messages, applications, quotations and shortlisting decisions.
Equipment listing data: "For Sale" and "Wanted" listings, photographs, specifications, condition, pricing and enquiries.
Industry support listing data: service descriptions, coverage, contact details and lead enquiries.
Verification data: information submitted or obtained for the "Verified" check (company numbers, public registry data, supporting documents).
Reviews and feedback: reviews, ratings, lead feedback and related metadata.
Saved items and comparisons: saved suppliers, saved listings, comparison selections and watchlists.
Billing data: subscription tier, sponsorship purchases and billing details (held by our payment provider).
Communications data: messages between users on the platform, support requests, email engagement (opens / clicks) and unsubscribe events.
Usage data: log files, IP, device, browser, referrer, interactions.
Supplier performance data: applications submitted, projects shortlisted, introductions released, quotations submitted, projects won, project completion status, response times and other supplier performance metrics.
Trust Score data: verification records, review data, supplier activity, project outcomes, certifications and other information used to calculate Trust Scores and Supplier Performance Scores.
Recommendation data: information used by Industrial Connected to generate supplier recommendations, rankings, match scores and project suitability assessments.

4. How we use data

To operate the matching platform and connect buyers with suppliers, equipment sellers and industry support providers.
To publish supplier, equipment and industry support listings to relevant users.
To process project posts, applications, quotations and shortlisting.
To operate the verification process and display "Verified" status where appropriate.
To collect, moderate and display reviews and lead feedback.
To deliver sponsorships, featured placements and premium subscription benefits.
To authenticate users and secure accounts.
To send transactional emails (introductions, application updates, listing alerts, billing, unsubscribe handling).
To send marketing communications where you have opted in (and to honour opt-outs).
To improve features, diagnose issues, and prevent abuse.
To comply with legal obligations.
To generate Trust Scores, Supplier Performance Scores, recommendations, rankings, comparisons and other platform intelligence features.
To improve supplier matching and project recommendation accuracy.
To generate anonymised market insights, benchmarking data and industry intelligence.

5. Legal basis (UK GDPR)

We process personal data on the basis of contract performance (to deliver the Service you signed up for), legitimate interests (platform security, fraud prevention, product improvement, and promoting the Service to relevant business users), legal obligation, and consent where required (e.g. non-essential cookies and certain marketing communications).

6. Sharing

Personal data is only shared between buyers, suppliers, equipment sellers and industry support providers where necessary to facilitate introductions, listings, enquiries, project discussions and commercial engagement initiated through the platform. Contact information may remain hidden until a user elects to proceed with an introduction or other engagement through the platform.

Reviews, ratings, Verified status, listings and certain profile information may be displayed publicly on the platform and indexed by search engines. We also use trusted processors for hosting, payments, email delivery, analytics and customer support, all bound by data-processing agreements.

7. International transfers

Some processors operate outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to provide appropriate safeguards.

8. Retention

We retain account, listing, project and review data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. You can request deletion at any time.

Project history, listing history, supplier performance records, review history, Trust Score data and related analytics may be retained for longer periods where reasonably necessary to maintain platform integrity, provide historical reporting, prevent fraud or comply with legal obligations.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion ("right to be forgotten").
Restrict or object to processing.
Request data portability.
Withdraw consent at any time where processing is consent-based.
Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any marketing message or in account settings.

10. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences. We may also use analytics, performance and functionality cookies - including services such as Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Stripe and our authentication providers - to improve the Service and understand user behaviour. Where required by law, such cookies will only be placed with your consent.

11. Security

We use industry-standard measures including row-level access control, encrypted transport, and least- privilege backend access. No system is perfectly secure; please report concerns to the address above.

12. Fraud prevention

Industrial Connected may process personal data and activity data to:

Prevent fraud.
Detect abuse, including fake listings, fake reviews and impersonation.
Protect platform users.
Enforce platform rules.
Investigate suspicious activity.

13. Verification

Where you apply for "Verified" status, we process information you provide along with information obtained from public registries and third-party verification providers. Verification confirms certain account information at a specific point in time, based on the information available to us at that time.

Verification does not constitute:

an endorsement of the supplier;
a recommendation of the supplier;
a guarantee of quality;
a guarantee of capability;
a guarantee of financial stability;
a guarantee of future performance; or
an audit or ongoing certification of the supplier's business.

A Verified supplier remains solely responsible for its own products, services, representations and performance. Verified status may be amended, suspended or removed at any time at our discretion.

14. Reviews and ratings

Reviews, ratings and lead feedback you submit may be displayed publicly alongside your name, company and role, may be used to inform Trust Scores™, Supplier Performance Scores™, rankings and other platform metrics, and may be moderated, edited or removed at our discretion. Do not include personal data of third parties or confidential information in reviews.

Reviews represent the opinions and experiences of individual users. Industrial Connected does not independently verify every statement contained within a user-submitted review. We reserve the right to moderate, edit, redact, refuse to publish or remove reviews where we consider it appropriate, including where a review appears inaccurate, abusive, defamatory, off-topic, in breach of our policies or otherwise unsuitable for publication.

15. Trust Scores™ and Supplier Performance Scores™

Trust Scores™ and Supplier Performance Scores™ are informational indicators designed to assist users in evaluating suppliers. They are generated using a combination of:

information supplied by users;
verification records;
reviews and ratings;
platform activity;
supplier performance data; and
other information available to the platform.

These scores may not reflect all information relating to a supplier, may change over time, and may be adjusted, recalculated or withdrawn at any time. Industrial Connected does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, currency or future performance of any supplier based on a Trust Score™ or Supplier Performance Score™. Users should treat these scores as one input alongside their own due diligence.

16. Recommendations, rankings, match scores and comparisons

Industrial Connected may generate supplier recommendations, rankings, match scores, comparison outputs, shortlists and similar results using platform data, supplier information, project information and algorithmic or AI-assisted processing.

Industrial Connected does not guarantee that recommended suppliers, ranked suppliers, match scores or comparison results represent the best, most suitable or most appropriate supplier for any particular requirement, project or buyer. These tools are intended to assist users and should not replace independent due diligence, professional advice or commercial judgement.

17. Supplier performance metrics

The platform may publish, surface or rely upon supplier performance metrics, including but not limited to:

Projects Won;
Projects Completed;
Would Use Again %;
Buyer Recommendation %;
Repeat Business Rates;
Supplier Performance Scores™;
Win Rates; and
Response Rates.

These metrics are based on activity and information available within the Industrial Connected platform and may not reflect work, relationships or performance occurring outside the platform. They are intended to provide guidance, not guarantees, and may be updated, recalculated or removed at any time as new data becomes available or as our methodology evolves.

18. Contract values

The platform may capture or display contract-related values, including:

Estimated Contract Values;
Awarded Contract Values;
Completed Contract Values; and
Revenue Generated Through Platform.

Contract values are provided by users and may be estimates, projections or self-reported figures. Industrial Connected does not independently verify all contract values submitted through the platform. Any value-related metrics, totals or summaries should be treated as informational only and should not be relied upon as evidence of actual revenue, turnover, contract awards or financial standing of any user or supplier.

19. Industry intelligence and benchmarking

Industrial Connected may publish or provide benchmarking, industry insights, market intelligence, trend analysis, demand indexes, performance comparisons and similar aggregated or analytical content, derived from platform activity and (where possible) anonymised or aggregated data.

Such information is provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute, and must not be relied upon as, financial advice, procurement advice, commercial advice, investment advice or legal advice. Users should obtain their own professional advice before making decisions based on this information.

20. Supplier selection and due diligence

Industrial Connected provides tools designed to help users discover, compare, shortlist and evaluate suppliers. Users remain solely responsible for:

supplier selection;
due diligence;
commercial negotiations;
procurement decisions;
contract award and contract terms; and
ongoing management of the supplier relationship.

Industrial Connected does not guarantee supplier suitability, supplier quality, supplier performance, project outcomes or commercial success arising from the use of the platform.

21. Automated decision support

Recommendations, rankings, Trust Scores™, Supplier Performance Scores™, match scores, comparison outputs and AI-assisted suggestions provided by the platform are automated decision-support tools. They assist users in making decisions but do not make decisions on behalf of users and do not produce legal or similarly significant effects on you within the meaning of UK GDPR Article 22.

Users remain responsible for all commercial decisions made using the platform, including which suppliers to engage, what to pay, and on what terms.

22. Search engine visibility

Public supplier profiles, reviews, ratings, listings, articles and related public information on Industrial Connected may be indexed by search engines and appear in third-party search results. Users posting public content should expect that content to be discoverable outside the platform.

23. Changes

We will notify users of material changes to this policy by email or in-app. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
